So I was asked why I never put "ignoring the issue" on my magical chart. The main reason for this is simply because ignoring issues does not solve them or make them go away, and you will find they ignored issues tend to reoccur. I must point out now though that accept an issue and deciding not to do anything about it is not ignoring it, since as soon as you can accept an issue, with the right mind frame, you can move on from it. Ignoring something is not dealing with at all, believing it will go away. I'll admit that sometimes if you DO ignore issues they will do away but the outcome of their resolution may not be what you want, also you would have not learnt from it, ignoring something is not the way to go around it, or through it. That said, denying the issue exists is just as bad as ignoring it, if not worse. At least when something is ignored you have admitted it's existence. Denying something means you cannot deal with it whilst it is as at a deal-able level, and it can be a nasty shock when suddenly this issue you have been telling yourself does not exist becomes so big you cannot ignore it, which is generally what happens with issue you so not deal with. I would also like to mention that some times in situations you have to accept you can't do anything about it - ie: is the world going to end in 2012? There is no way of knowing, you could waste hours researching but it is not likely to change anything. You will not be able do anything about it even if it does so worry about it isn't going to help, you need to accept you don't know and move on with life, making the best of it.
Note: Just to make myself clear on all topics I talk about, it is all only a generalisation, if you have any comments, questions or arguments, feel free to comment. Like I've said before, this is a work in progress and I'm always looking for ways to improve it.
