28/04 - Pt 2;Mind Frames and Framed Minds

So in part one (which I wrote at school, hence the abrupt end) I touched upon "the right mind frame". Now, before I even start with this post, let me say this; there IS no such thing as the "right mind frame", it was simply a term I used for ease. Now I've said this though, I can say their are better frames of mind than others. (If you are a little lost on what a frame of mind, it is basically the way you see the world. Optimistic, pessimistic, etc). I personally try to be as optimistic as I can about the reality of life, an optimistic realist if you will. I know a lot of pessimists who never seem to see the good things in life, and if they're happy like that then that's fine, but have you ever met a happy pessimist? So the way you are able to look at things helps how you can approach them, and your ability to learn from them. I can't tell you to look at the good things, or stop seeing the bad things, just like I can't tell you if you read this blog bad things won't happen, I know old habits can be hard to break, and sometimes you don't need to even break them. So to the pessimists - use that pessimistic side to be real about situations, everyone needs a little optimism though, 'cos whether you believe it or not there is always a way to make the best of what you've got. Like the Monty Python song tells us, humorous as it may be; always look on the bright side of life.
